Memories and Fun in a Convertible

This 1979 Volkswagen Super Beetle came into the shop with a good amount of rust.  The owner wanted to lose the rusty floor pans and thought a black, or maybe a custom violet paint color was in order.  Before long, the new sheet metal was installed and the vision of shiny paint also became a reality.  Meanwhile, a lot of memories about this little classic were shared around the shop.   

This is one of the first import projects to show up at Jonesy's.  Thankfully the passion and enthusiasm of the Owners' became infectious and the "BUG-fever" spread throughout the shop.  We began to respect the simplicity of the VW and idea of a small economical convertible.  The result?  A cool custom ride, and a new found respect for classic VW's... an honor not easily earned from die hard muscle car and American hot rod lovers like us!
